Small website mistakes that create extra work
Many website problems are small enough to escape a quick visual review. They become more costly when visitors encounter them repeatedly or when the next person has to untangle them.
Check the destinations
Follow navigation, service cards and footer links. Confirm that a contact button reaches the intended channel and that a social link belongs to the correct audience. A label and a destination should tell the same story.
Read the interface as a visitor
Check forms, empty states and confirmation messages. Do not say a message has been received when the page has only prepared a draft. Make required information clear, and leave optional fields optional.
Review after changing content
A new headline can affect wrapping and spacing. A replaced image can change the crop. Test the page at several sizes and exercise its menus, scroll interactions and buttons again.
A careful final pass connects the details to the visitor’s task. That is how a visually strong page becomes a useful part of a business.
